Lumens are made by exposing organic matter arranged on vintage darkroom paper to the sun— often over a period of several hours or even days. The chemical reactions between each object and paper produce wildly unpredictable photogram images.

The resulting prints are scanned and enhanced to reveal hidden details within the emulsion, then left unfixed to fade away slowly.
